distance triathlons... which
just means that an ordinary person [you] can successfully train for and
finish a race without turning into a gym-rat. If a consecutive swim/bike/run
sounds impossible to you... RELAX! Many races offer a relay, so you can
complete your first event as part of a 2-person or 3-person relay team.
A suggestion... ignore the little voice in your head
that might be SHOUTING something like,” hey lazy/fatso/mr. or mrs.
nutritionally challenged/[ insert personal insult here ], you’re
not in-shape enough to do this”. That’s the whole point!
Training for a triathlon WILL whip your butt into shape like no other...
if you accept the challenge! Of course, as with beginning any new fitness
program consult with your doctor before proceeding and train SAFE!
